In its effort to bring healthcare awareness to the grassroots, Federation of Muslim Women's Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), has partnered with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and religious leaders of the Muslim community on issues of child and family health.

CAN recommends child-spacing for healthy family life

Mrs Elizabeth Abok, Chairperson, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Women wing, Kaduna State chapter, on Friday identified child-spacing as a path toward producing a healthy, vibrant and successful family life.



Abok said this in Zaria, Kaduna State, at a UNICEF workshop themed: “Demand Creation for Child Survival and Development’’.



She said that child-spacing would avail the mother the opportunity to regain her strength and health, ready for another pregnancy.
